Lorna Shore Unleashes a Night of Pure Energy at 713 Music Hall
From the moment I stepped into 713 Music Hall, I could tell this wasn’t going to be a normal
Friday night. The air felt heavy with excitement the kind that only builds before a truly stacked
metal lineup.
Shadow of Intent opened the night with a set that blended precision and chaos perfectly. Their
vocalist commanded the stage like a general leading an army, and when the breakdowns hit, the
floor shook. You could feel every kick drum thump straight through your rib cage, and the crowd
responded with wild energy.
Then came The Black Dahlia Murder, who proved why they’re still one of the most respected
names in the scene. The moment they started playing, the audience erupted. Their blend of
technical speed and stage charisma had everyone head banging in sync, and it honestly felt like
they could’ve headlined the show themselves.
By the time Lorna Shore took the stage, the entire venue was a roaring storm of sweat, smoke,
and flashing lights. The first notes of “Sun//Eater” hit, and suddenly the floor turned into one
massive wave of motion people jumping, moshing, screaming every lyric. Will Ramos sounded
absolutely monstrous live. His voice carried so much emotion that it almost didn’t sound human,
and the way he transitioned between guttural lows and piercing highs was unreal. Adam De
Micco and Andrew O’Connor shredded through every riff with precision, while Austin Archey’s
drumming made the walls shake.
One of the most powerful moments came during “Pain Remains I.” The lights went red, fog
surrounded the stage, and suddenly the chaos turned into something emotional people were
screaming along, some with their eyes closed, lost in the music. It felt like we were all part of
something bigger than a concert.
When the final note hit, the band stood there soaking in the applause, and every person in the
room knew they’d just witnessed something special. Leaving the venue, drenched in sweat with
my ears ringing, I couldn’t help but smile. Lorna Shore didn’t just perform they reminded
everyone in Houston why live music still matters.
